Fable
Liam spent part of his summer mowing lawns and saving his money in a jar.
His friend Jake spent his days playing video games and buying candy whenever he had a few dollars.
"Come hang out!" Jake called. "Why are you always working?"
"I'm saving for something important," Liam said. "Summer doesn’t last forever."
Jake just laughed and bought another bag of candy.
When school started, the local computer store announced a weekend science camp —
robotics, coding, and games for anyone who could pay the fee.
Liam opened his jar and signed up that same day.
Jake checked his pockets — and found only candy wrappers.
