At the checkout counter, sat a big glass jar with a sign:

"Free Jellybeans — One Helping Only."

A little boy reached in and grabbed a huge handful.

But when he tried to pull his hand out, it was stuck!

He pulled and twisted, but he wouldn’t let go of a single jellybean.

Finally, he let go of half, slid his hand out easily, and popped a few jellybeans into his mouth — just as the sign had asked.
